This 4 hour workshop is broken into 6 parts:
Part 1: The Science of Fat Loss Basics. Is it really just about Calories in vs. Calories Out? Is it really just eating less and exercising more? Of course not! Despite that being the mantra for the last 40 years, this advice has not only failed us, but giving this advice has actually made the issues worse! It has created an epidemic of yo-yo dieters whose health has progressively gotten worse over the years. It is time you learn the truth.
We will show you how.
Part 2: Exercise- The science. NOT ALL EXERCISE IS CREATED EQUAL.
We have all been told to exercise 30-60 minutes a day. Well, yoga is exercise. Walking is exercise. Weightlifting is exercise. Gardening is exercise. Bootcamps, aerobic classes, biking, Zumba...the list is endless.
When we apply some critical thinking to this advice, we must ask : Do all exercises produce the same metabolic and hormonal demands and adaptations on the body?
Of course not. Wouldn’t you require a different training program to jump higher or squat more weight than you would if you were training to be a distance swimmer or a sumo wrestler? Of course!
Well, the same is true for fat loss. To optimize fat loss, you must train SPECIFICALLY for fat loss. It is NOT about burning more calories. It is about training to create the “metabolic shift.”
We will learn how to train for fat loss and body composition.
